Noelle Fernandez, LPC, NCC
Mckinney Texas Location

Hi, I'm Noelle, a Licensed Professional Counselor located in McKinney, Texas. I am passionate about helping children, teens, and adults be the best versions of themselves. I believe that all people have an innate tendency toward growth. However, growth can be impacted by life events we may not have control over. I will work with you to explore any barriers and roadblocks that have come your way, while also helping you get to know yourself and your strengths. I support neurodiversity by providing individualized care. Not all brains work the same- and that’s okay, and even great! I use acceptance, validation, and provide advocacy skills where needed.

It is hard for children to translate their thoughts and feelings verbally. Children can better express their thoughts and feelings in their natural language – PLAY, using toys as their words. Often, “bad behavior” is just a child’s way of telling us they have an unmet need or don't have enough coping skills. My goal is to interpret the child's play to parents and give them better tools and skills to help their children and families. Neurodivergent affirming care in children will look like providing psychoeducation to parents, raising the child’s self-esteem through play therapy, and helping parents navigate the school system in a way that supports, rather than tries to change the child.
